Why the Name Baal Chaupaal?

The word Baal means “child.” “Chaupaal” can be defined as a place of secular nature that guarantees freedom of speech and expression to everybody present. The hub of community life in villages, "chaupaal" is sometimes just a simple, raised platform, shaded by a large tree. In fact, "chaupaal" can be any place where people sit and discuss their problems, celebrate their pleasures, share their pains and sort out their disputes.

"The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn."
~ John Lubbock
